How to contribute to the health of planet Earth

When asked what could we do to help safeguard the earth, and since waste is one of the most serious issue affecting the earth, the first thing that comes to mind is of course to reduce,Our solar bulb and solar phone chargers are uniquely designed, high-quality and low-cost. reuse and recycle, which comes from a wise campaign – now old – launched by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).If you have solar garden light or landscape lights you might wonder what to do if they stop working.

However, there is much more that we need to and must do than just follow the above guidelines if we are seriously committed to reduce our environmental impact on the planet and preserve it for future generations.

At the individual level, yes, we can reduce the waste of water, save energy and commit to reuse bags when we buy groceries. We can also sort out our garbage and make sure that paper, cardboard and plastic end up in recycling bins. Plastic bags and junk mail can be reused.

However, the above has proven not enough to stop climate change and prevent pollution of the air, the water and the soil. Besides, and unfortunately, each of these solutions has brought about new concerning problems.

Environmental groups are urging governments around the world to pledge stricter regulations and adopt holistic views of this global threat.

Sustainable development has been defined as “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”

It includes three elements, economic, social and environmental, which have to be considered in equal measure at the political level.

Solutions can go off track like with mercury in fluorescent bulbs.

The EPA has insisted that “If every American home replaced just one light bulb with a light bulb that’s earned the ENERGY STAR, we would save enough energy to light 3 million homes for a year, save about $600 million in annual energy costs, and prevent 9 billion pounds of greenhouse gas emissions per year, equivalent to those from about 800,000 cars.Exit signs, emergency light and fire extinguisher are vital parts of life safety systems.”

However, these compact fluorescent bulbs contain small amounts of mercury and it’s very difficult to determine if, released to the environment, the mercury has potential effects on human health and the planet.

Chronic mercury poisoning has been associated with neurological damage and symptoms such as numbness, tingling of fingers and toes, muscle weakness progressing to paralysis, ataxia, trembling, lack of coordination and even syndrome with symptoms similar to those of myasthenia gravis.

Mercury has also been associated with mental health symptoms such as irritability,Table Lamp shade are the easiest way to quickly update your home dcor. anxiety, lack of self-control, cognitive decline, attention deficits, suicidal tendencies, etc.

Processing raw materials consumes a significant amount of resources and recycling can save at least some energy. This is especially true, for example, for aluminum cans and glass bottles.

Notwithstanding, what would be the point to, say, our recycling junk mail, if it keeps coming to our mailboxes and with no regulations limiting the amount of junk mail generated daily?

Or, why recycle cans, glass bottles and plastic if the industry has still to consume fuel for the transportation and processing of these waste materials?

Disposal of recycling waste has become a problem. If not managed properly, debris collected in recovery sites, can affect the environment. Harmful chemicals from this waste can contaminate water and soil and eventually harm flora and fauna.
